December Families

Oh it's been a while since I have posted anything on my Blog! For very good reason........in three words....BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!! I have been working my fingers off. Between shooting & editing, packaging & shipping.....whew. I managed to get all of my families their sessions completed in plenty of time for Christmas giving. I am finishing up my last wedding of this year and booking into the next. I am also happy to say that it is Christmas Eve and I feel confident with the gifts wrapped beneath the tree and the ones waiting to be tucked under and stuffed into stockings tonight. I have Christmas dinner preparations under way and am looking foward to my family joining us to celebrate the season. I thought I would post the last of my 2010 family sessions to get my blog up to date, and I feel ready to move on and up in the New Year!
Thankyou to all my clients, freinds and family that supported me this past year. Without you I would not have had the joy & success I have so thoroughly discovered and enjoyed! I wish each and everyone of you the most Merry Christmas and a fabulous joyous New Year!
CHEERS :)

My first family.....the Lachners'. This group of siblings wanted to get some updated photos for mom. They requested a Christmasy type feel to the photos and that was surely accomplished with the frost that was thickly covering the ground and outbuildings. We threw in some red olympics mittens and voila......

Moving on to the Deol boys.....super cute! Big brother gets double the fun as his two younger bros are twins! With one always smiling for the camera and the other so shy he was afraid to smile they were as different as two people could be! We had alot of fun using the umbrellas and the rain for some fun shots. It was great meeting this new family and hope to see them in the new year for a full family session!

Next we have the Layne family. These guys squeaked in just in time to get some family shots done for Christmas. With two little boys and one in hockey finding time in their schedule for a photo shoot wasn't easy. But we managed to get them booked in and we met up at fabulous Redwood Park in Surrey. This place has the most amazing selection of giant old trees. They were cold and bare at this time of year but still had the glorious green moss to add some color. I would love to check this park out in the spring and summer or even fall would be beautiful!

Finally the Brost family. Another great new family to meet. We met up on somewhat of a bleak winter's day with a little girl who was sick with a fever and did NOT want any part of picture taking :(
Fortunately, we had her big brother with enough energy for the two of them. We did our best to capture the happy family portrait....some shoots are just harder than others. By the end of it our little girl had fallen asleep on dad's shoulder and wanted nothing more than her PJs and her bed!
